The Zoom Air Strobel is double stacked in the forefoot with another Zoom Air Unit for comfort and bounce while you run on the balls of your feet.
Nike is advertising the Air Zoom GT Run towards players looking to make separation on the basketball court when running from one end of the court to the other. Nike made what they believed to be a great all-around court shoe as a base, and then tailored the underlying technology to give an edge in running, cutting, or jumping. As implied by the names, all of these focus on clever use of Nike’s flagship Zoom Air technology specifically, all of these shoes feature Zoom Air Strobels working in concert with at least one other Zoom Air unit. The Greater Than series includes the Air Zoom G.T. They accomplished this by making 3 different shoes, all geared towards a different style of play, and therefore, different patterns of movement. Riding the data-driven design philosophy from the controversial Zoomx Vaporfly 4%, Nike set out to design a team shoe that has innovative combinations of technology utilized in intentionally specific manners. With the Greater Than series, Nike is aiming to take a less-safe route with their team shoes. Their non-signature shoes, sometimes referred to as their team shoes, have still seen success in the past, such as the popular and widely-loved Nike Hyperdunk. Nike has always pushed most of their advertising budget and focus into their signature athlete shoes, such as the Lebrons, KDs, Kyries, Pgs, etc.
